What we collect

The email address you provide at checkout; payment records processed by Stripe (we never see card numbers); the solicitation document you submit for a paid shred; and standard technical logs.

What stays in your browser

Free previews run entirely on your device. No document content is transmitted to us before purchase. If our in-browser screening refuses a document, we record only that a refusal occurred — never the document’s content.

How long we keep documents

Paid documents and generated workbooks are deleted from our systems within 7 days of delivery. Transaction records are retained as required for accounting and law.

What we never do

We do not sell personal information, use your documents to train models, or send marketing email to purchase addresses without consent. Transactional email (delivery, receipts, refunds) is sent via our email provider.

Service providers

Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (document analysis during a paid shred), and Resend (delivery email) process data on our behalf under their own safeguards. We disclose data beyond these processors only if legally compelled. If a dispute review requires an independent professional reviewer, they receive the public solicitation and the disputed output rows only — never your identity.

Your choices

Email support@getshredcheck.com to request deletion of your records or a copy of what we hold about you; we honor reasonable requests within 30 days. Unsubscribe links in any marketing email are honored permanently.

Security

Data in transit is encrypted (TLS); stored data lives in access-controlled cloud storage; secrets are managed via the hosting platform’s secret store. No system is perfectly secure; we notify affected users of any breach as required by law.

Children

The service is for business use and not directed to anyone under 18.

Changes

Updates are posted at this URL with a new version and effective date.
